TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SCANNING A QR CODE FOR PURCHASES (EasyScan)

1. You can scan the QR code to make a payment

You can scan the QR code at a participating retailer’s point-of-sale device to make a purchase. The QR code scanner is available on the login page of the mobile app.

 

2. Before you scan

2.1 Make sure that you have enough money in your account for the full purchase price. You can’t make a part payment for the QR purchase and then use another payment method for the balance.
2.2 Log in to your mobile app (you’ll have to put in your access code).
2.3 When you make a QR purchase, check that all the details, including the participating retailer’s name and the amount, are correct. We can reverse a QR purchase only if there’s a technical error. If you put in the wrong details, we’re not responsible for any loss that you suffer as a result of this.

 

3. When you scan

When you click on ‘confirm’ for a QR purchase through the mobile app, you authorise us to:

3.1 immediately debit your account with the full purchase price; and
3.2 pay the retailer.

 

4. After you scan

If a technical error occurs either on the point-of-sale device or on the mobile app, we’ll reverse the QR purchase. You can choose whether or not to try again. If you see a ‘Payment pending’ screen on your mobile app, check the point- of-sale device for confirmation that the transaction was successful. Contact us on 0860 000 000 if you experience any problems making a QR purchase.

 

5. We’re not responsible for the goods and services you buy

5.1 We don’t make any warranties (promises) to you about the products and services that you buy using the QR scanner, we are not a party to the transaction and have no relationship with the participating retailer.
5.2 The participating retailer’s terms and conditions, including their refund policies, apply to the purchase. If you have a complaint about the goods or services, you must take it up with the participating retailer.
